If you're like me who prefers to stay at home during weekends and binge watch series, then here's a list of series that captured my heart.
Pretty Little Liars
From the very first episode I was completely hooked. I never read the books and I don't have any plans of reading it, in fear that I'll spoil it for myself.
As time has passed since Alison, then the Queen Bee of the group went missing. Spencer, Aria, Hanna and Emily have gone on with their lives, though they've grown apart. As the years go by, each girl finds herself facing new set of challenges when anonymous texts from "A" threaten to expose all their secrets- both old secrets the girls were sure only Alison knew, and newest secrets developed after Alison's disappearance.
Who is "A" and how does he/she know the things he/she knows ?
How to Get Away with Murder
This is one of the best series out there and I'm completely obsessed with this show. It's not only giving me a sense of pride as an aspiring law student, but it really puts things into perspective as to how lawyers work.
This series use flashbacks, flash forwards, times lapses and such. It's time jumping can be tedious.
A group of ambitious law students and their brilliant Criminal Defense Professor become involved in a twisted murder plot that promises to change the course of their lives.
Game of Thrones
This best selling book series is brought to the screen as it sinks its considerable storytelling teeth into the medieval fantasy epic. It's the depiction of two powerful families – kings, queens, knights and renegades. Liars and honest men – playing a deadly game to control the seven kingdoms of Westeros and to sin on the Iron Throne.
There's not much difference about Daenerys and Cersei. Daenerys might be of a kinder character, but they both rule about brute force. The difference is that Daenerys actually has the power to backup her threats, while Cersei has one zombie soldier on her side.
Two Broke Girls
Stereotypical punchlines through the roof thrown by Max had me gagging. A lot of people don't usually like how "generic" the jokes are, but the punchlines thrown are very much hilarious and are such a classic. Every time it comes on TV, there's not a single episode that I almost died from laughter. It's quite annoying how they decided to cancel right after Season 6.
Max doesn't expect much from the new waitress at her night job, a rich girl named Caroline who was reluctantly joined the food service industry after a string of bad luck. The two strike up an unlikely friendship. They have found their big break through cupcakes.
Hit the Floor
This is an American Sports Drama Television. The story focuses on the Los Angeles Devils Basketball Team and the Devil Girl Dance Group. The attention of this series focuses on fame, money, power and sex.
I'm all about tJude and Zero's relationship. I didn't know about Hit the Floor, until the show debuted its gay pairing near the end of season two. They way the show portrayed Jude and Zero's relationship is something a lot of people will enjoy. Except if you're homophobic of course. They show has enough excitement that you'll forget you started to watch it because of the good story line.
The Big Bang Theory
One of the longest running sitcoms and one of the all time greats that deliver punchlines that have everyone on the floor.
Best friends and roommates Leonard and Sheldon, physicists who work at the California Institute of Technology, may be able to tell everybody more than they want to know about quantum physics.
This is also one of the best and funniest sitcoms ever produced. The storyline is an has always been on point and I will not get tired from watching it.
This isn't your typical high school divided by the popular kids to the nerds. A twist of romantic werewolf fiction that is indeed captivating.
Scott is just your typical high school student struggling with academics. One night he finds himself lost in the forest, seeing a wolf with flaming red eyes. He tried to run as fast as he can to get away from it, but the wolf was just too fast and was able to bit him.
He woke up from his bed and finding himself with immense strength. The students were packed with abs and are oh so attractive. Freshmen students with abs is not common in today's situation. Twisted with gay pairings and breaking gender stereotypes, it's one of the best indeed.
